Brick Painting & Staining

Brick painting is a commitment — once painted, going back to bare brick is a significant undertaking. We make sure clients understand that upfront. But when done right, painted brick looks spectacular and adds years of protection to aging mortar.

We use masonry-specific paints that allow the brick to breathe. Regular exterior paints trap moisture and cause spalling. The right product matters more here than on any other surface we paint.

Brick staining is a less-permanent alternative. A penetrating stain soaks into the masonry and changes the colour while keeping the texture visible and the brick breathable. It's the right call for many older Toronto homes.
